Welcome to Big Meat. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website bigmeat.ae and the purchase of products from us. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.
1. About Us
Big Meat is a butcher supermarket based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, offering fresh halal meat, poultry, and ready-to-cook products for retail purchase and home delivery across the UAE.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order on our website. By ordering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Products
All our meat products are sourced from halal-certified suppliers. Products are cut fresh and prepared to order. Product images on the website are for illustration purposes; actual cuts may vary slightly in appearance, weight, and trim due to the natural variation of fresh meat.
Weights listed are approximate. As meat is cut fresh to order, the final weight may vary slightly (typically within ±5%). Prices are charged based on the listed weight at checkout.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in UAE Dirhams (AED) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice; the price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of checkout.
Payment can be made by credit/debit card through our secure payment gateway or by cash on delivery (where available). Orders are confirmed only after successful payment or order verification.
5. Orders & Confirmation
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or reject any order, including in cases of product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.
You will receive an order confirmation by email or SMS once your order is accepted. If any item is unavailable, we will contact you to offer a substitute or a refund for that item.
6. Delivery
- We deliver across Dubai and selected areas of the UAE.
- Orders placed before the daily cut-off time (2:00 PM) are eligible for same-day delivery; orders placed after the cut-off will be delivered the next day.
- Delivery times provided are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or operational conditions.
- A minimum order value of AED 50 applies. Delivery is free for orders above AED 150; a delivery fee applies below this amount, shown at checkout.
- All products are delivered in temperature-controlled packaging to maintain freshness.
- Please ensure someone is available to receive the order at the delivery address. If delivery fails due to an incorrect address or unavailability of the recipient, redelivery charges may apply.
- Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery.
7. Returns & Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of fresh meat, we do not accept returns once products have been delivered and accepted, except in the following cases:
- The product delivered is incorrect.
- The product is spoiled, damaged, or of unacceptable quality at the time of delivery.
- The order is incomplete.
Any such issue must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, with photos of the product and packaging, by contacting us at hello@bigmeat.ae or +971 XX XXX XXXX.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days, or offered as a replacement or store credit at your preference. Cash on delivery refunds will be issued as store credit or bank transfer.
8. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled free of charge before they are cut and prepared. As products are cut fresh to order, cancellations may not be possible once preparation has begun. Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
9. Food Safety & Storage
Our products are fresh and perishable. Upon delivery, refrigerate or freeze products immediately. We are not responsible for product quality issues arising from improper storage or handling after delivery. Follow safe cooking practices; fresh meat must be cooked thoroughly before consumption.
10. Use of the Website
You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or copy, reproduce, or misuse any content from the website. All content on this website, including the Big Meat name, logo, images, and text, is our property and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Big Meat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the order in question.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law, including liability relating to consumer rights under UAE consumer protection regulations.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to fulfil orders due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, government restrictions, supplier failures, or transport disruptions.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
